The divorce mediation process enables you to discuss all issues arising from your separation, but you do so away from court and lawyers. Any outcome can be approved by the Family Court (if that is necessary). We offer family mediation services in Cambridge and Norwich.

We are Mediators. All our divorce solicitors are experts in Family Mediation. We have decades of experience in family law and we understand how the Family Court works. When we support you as a Mediator, we do not give legal advice. However, because we are lawyer mediators we can provide you with lots of practical and legal information. This is the best framework to help you make informed choices about your future. It adds significant value – you can discuss your future arrangements in the knowledge that as well as considering your own hopes and objectives, legal issues have also been explored. You can continue to consult with your own lawyers if there is a need for advice. We will also signpost you to various other professionals when that may be desirable or necessary.

How much does it cost?

Mediation is likely to be more cost-effective than negotiating through lawyers and/or going to Court. In terms of value, mediation is also likely to be far more beneficial to you long term, especially if you are parents to children.

Mediation costs are far less than the combined rate of two lawyers acting for each party and yet the outcome achieved can be the same, if not better as you will have reached the outcome in a cost effective and constructive way.

Our Mediation is charged per client on a fixed cost per session, which is usually 90 minutes. This means you know exactly how long the meeting is going to take and how much it will cost. The cost also includes our preparation for the meeting and an outcome summary for each meeting. Please contact Christina or Fiona in our Cambridge office or Sue in our Norwich office for more details of costs for all our mediation services.

We are also able to offer Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings (MIAM) at a fixed charge. Please contact us for more information.
